Addie's Six Month Stats

Happy six month birthday, Addie! I know I baked a cake for your brother at six months, so I'll try to find the time to do the same for you. I guess that just proves she is the second child. After looking back at earlier blog posts from when Wes was that age, I've realized I'm slacking a little. I'll try to do better, I promise!

Addie did great at her six month check-up. She is following in her brother's footsteps and is slipping lower and lower on the weight percentile chart. She weighed in at 14 pounds, 3 ounces (18th percentile) and 26.25 inches (65th percentile) in length. She is becoming slightly more mobile by being able to do circles on her belly. I'm sure the full-on crawl is soon to come. She is also very close to being able to sit-up by herself. No teeth have popped through yet, but the doctor said that her bottom gums are swollen and then they should be here shortly.

She has outgrown her milk protein intolerance, which makes things nice since I don't have to be so careful about what I eat. All in all, she is a very happy baby these days and is a complete joy. She always greets us with smiles in the morning and they continue until it is time for bed. She has started to do a lot of babbling and bubble blowing. She likes to break out the bubble blowing during cereal time and it makes a mess.

Wes loves to make her laugh. He also likes to get close enough to her so that she can kick him. He brings on the drama by exclaiming, "ouch!". The sibling rivalry has started... :)
