Aha!

I've finally figured out why the hair on the back of Wes' head is disappearing... he is wearing it off from laying on his back and scooting himself upward with his legs. The front half of his hair was just starting to grow back nicely from when he was a newborn and now he is missing the back half. Poor kid...
