Wesley had his 12 month check-up this morning. He got three pokes and was sent home with a good bill of health. He measures 30 inches in length (55th percentile) and weighs 19 pounds, 4 ounces (8th percentile). He is now officially the same weight as our larger cat, Mittens. I would have posted a nice picture of Wes and Mittens together to commemorate the occasion, but I think it would have been nearly impossible to get them close enough together for a decent shot. I would say that Mittens doesn't really hate Wes, but is more like super annoyed by him. This is progress. I think she finally realized that the new addition to our family is here to stay. She has also learned to not get too relaxed around the house, as there is always someone around that likes to run over and smother their face into her belly. Wes definitely keeps her on her toes. It is a good thing that our other cat, Butters, actually likes him. :)
