Our little man turns one today! It's hard to believe his first year is over. I spent a good portion of that year in a daze due to lack of sleep. Thank goodness he decided to consistently sleep through the night at ten months. These last few months have been really, really nice. :)He currently has four teeth on the top and three and a half on the bottom. He hasn't met a food he doesn't like. If Ben or I are eating food in front of him he runs over and pants like a dog until we feed him some. Some of the foods that Wesley has eaten and surprisingly liked are spicy spaghetti sauce and noodles, smoked salmon, and chicken fajitas. Crazy thing... he eats all these foods, but doesn't care for apple juice???
Wesley started doing this "proper" walk. On Saturday at his birthday party he started walking with his hands behind his back. We call him Mr. Proper. I'll have to get a picture of him doing it. It is quite funny. When he isn't walking proper, he is running all over the house like a wild man.
He likes to try to whistle. Every time Ben whistles, Wes pouts his lips and pushes air in and out mimicking him. He doesn't make the whistling sound, but you can sure hear the air. Whoo, whoo, whoo!
What a joyful year it was. Ben and I have never been happier. Here's to a wonderful second year! We love you, Wesley! Happy Birthday!

Please give my little guy a birthday kiss and hug from grandma and grandpa. I can't believe that a year has already gone by. It just seems like yesterday that we were in the hospital waiting for him to arrive.
